Purpose and scope
GoldPass Music operates GoldPass Backup Transfer for private administrative backup and disaster recovery. It uses Rclone on an administrator-controlled computer to copy selected GoldPass backup files from Google Drive to a designated Microsoft OneDrive account. OneDrive can then synchronize those copies to the administrator’s computer. This policy covers that transfer utility, not all GoldPass Music websites or lesson services.
Information accessed
The utility accesses file contents and metadata needed to locate, copy and verify backups, such as file names, folder identifiers, sizes and modification times. Backup files may contain website source code, database records, uploaded media and recovery documentation, including personal information present in those records.
Google Drive authorization is read-only and permits reading files throughout the authorized account. The configured transfer selects the GoldPass backup folder; this folder selection is an operational setting, not a Google-enforced permission boundary. The utility does not use this Google authorization to modify or delete source files.
Use and transfer
The information is used to copy, verify and recover GoldPass backups and troubleshoot transfer problems. Files travel through the administrator’s computer to Microsoft OneDrive. Google and Microsoft process data within their respective services under their own terms and privacy policies. Transfer logs may contain file names, timestamps, counts and error messages.
The utility does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models. Access by other people for support or recovery requires the account owner’s authorization, except where required by law or necessary for security.
Authorization and protection
Sign-in and consent occur through Google and Microsoft. Rclone stores authorization tokens locally so it can operate without requesting a password on every transfer. Those tokens and configuration files must be protected and must not be included in ordinary documentation, screenshots or shared logs. Backup access is restricted through the administrator’s cloud-account and computer permissions.
Retention and deletion
Backup copies are retained until the administrator removes them under the applicable recovery and record-retention requirements. No fixed automatic deletion period is currently configured for this transfer utility. Removing a source file does not automatically remove copies from other destinations. Deletion may require removing copies separately from Google Drive, OneDrive, local storage, and any retained versions or recycle bins, subject to provider retention rules.
Control and contact
The account owner can stop transfers and revoke the app’s authorization in Google Account third-party connections and Microsoft account app permissions. Revocation does not delete previously copied backups. Questions or requests about access or deletion can be sent to californiamusicacademy@gmail.com.
Changes
This policy will be updated before introducing materially different data uses. Additional consent will be requested when required.
